Steve brings over 40 years of aviation experience to his students. As a seasoned flight instructor proficient in single-engine (SEL) and multi-engine (MEL) aircraft, as well as instrument flying, he boasts a comprehensive background, having piloted more than twenty-five different aircraft types and holding four type ratings. With a career spanning from commercial airline piloting to corporate aviation, Steve’s expertise is further underscored by a decade-long commitment to flight instruction. Additionally, he extends his proficiency beyond the cockpit, engaging in consultancy and instruction for human factors training within businesses nationwide. Steve’s multifaceted involvement in aviation training underscores his dedication and breadth of knowledge in the field.

Brian Siebert

CFI-I, MEI, ATP


Brian brings nearly 25 years of instructional experience to our institution, backed by an impressive log of over 15,000 flight hours, a substantial portion of which has been accumulated within our rental aircraft fleet. A passionate aviation aficionado, Brian not only excels in instructional roles but also actively participates in commercial airline operations. Renowned for his no-nonsense approach, Brian prioritizes safety above all else, ensuring a high standard of instruction. Additionally, his proficiency extends beyond conventional aircraft, as he boasts considerable skill as a model aircraft and helicopter pilot.

James Read

CFI-I, MEI

James has been shaping aspiring pilots since he earned his ratings in 2009. Hailing from the great state of Texas, James brings a rich and diverse background to his aviation career, having gained experience in various industries before dedicating himself to flight instruction. Known for his friendly demeanor and exceptional interpersonal skills, James is one of the most approachable and easygoing instructors. His ability to connect with students and create a supportive learning environment has made him a favorite among those he has mentored. With a passion for teaching and a commitment to safety and excellence, James Read continues to inspire the next generation of pilots, making him an invaluable Whitewater instructor.

Dianna Sprague

CFI-I

Dianna is an Ohio University Alumni, where she graduated with degrees in Aviation Flight and Aviation Management. Dianna received her private pilot rating at Cincinnati West. The skills and airmanship she learned and developed at Cincinnati West allowed her to excel in her further training. While in college, Dianna worked as an aviation mechanic’s assistant, a research pilot, and an executive transport pilot, while instructing at the Part 141 school. She has experience in Cessna, Piper, and Beechcraft products.

Andrew McCabe

CFI

His career started with positions Embraer Executive Jets and Piper Aircraft, where he developed his fabrication and assembly abilities. Andrew’s commitment to service was further seen while he was a member of the Army National Guard, where he was a standout operations control and document analysis specialist. Andrew, who is now studying aeronautics at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, has received numerous honors, including the Army Commendation Medal and the Company and Battalion levels of NCO of the Year.
